October is National Domestic Violence Prevention Month, an observance that serves to raise awareness and share resources. This year’s campaign encourages all of us to “know the signs” of healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors.
National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
One in four women and one in 10 men will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Within the Coast Guard, data from the Central Registry has shown an increase of domestic violence incidents over the past several years. Now is the time to come together and end domestic violence for our children, families, and our Coast Guard.
