Keep an eye out for a survey that will help shape Enlisted Assignment Priority across the service! The survey was sent to all enlisted E-4 through E-9 via email on or about Dec. 6, 2016.

As one of the 31 initiatives of the Human Capital Strategy, the Coast Guard Enlisted Assignment Priority Working Group is conducting a full review of all enlisted billets across the Coast Guard. A review of this kind has not been completed in 18 years and the Coast Guard has experienced many changes since then.

Let your voice be heard! They survey is 12 questions and should only take 10 minutes to complete. Completing the survey will allow your thoughts to be heard about a topic that affects every enlisted member. Make sure to complete the survey no later than Dec. 31, 2016.

The purpose of the survey is to ensure that billets are given due weight in the assignment process to help our members properly manage their careers. The survey asks about a member’s understanding of assignment priority and asks for genuine feedback about how to make assignment priority a better system overall.

Assignment Priorities are critical in the enlisted assignment process, particularly for arduous or hard-to-fill assignments. Ensuring assignments are properly designated will allow you to make the best choices for you and your family!
