The Paratus Report, Episode 9

The newest episode of the Coast Guard Paratus Report is now live! The Paratus Report is a workforce news program focused at keeping Coast Guard members informed of what’s happening throughout their Coast Guard. The episode will air monthly on the official Coast Guard YouTube channel, and a brief recap with additional information will be provided right here on Coast Guard All Hands.

Blended Retirement System update

The Coast Guard is rolling out a series of training tools to prepare the fleet for the new blended retirement system that will take affect January 2018.

New TRICARE pilot program

TRICARE has launched a new pilot program that will make it easier for you and your family see an urgent care specialist. We spoke with Cmdr. Paul Fawcett, the chief medical administrator of Health, Safety and Work-life to get more information on the changes.

Taking care of our shipmates

Master Chief Petty Officer Charles Bushey, the Coast Guard Atlantic Area command master chief, has a message for the fleet regarding alcohol use, abuse and misuse, how it can affect your career and encourages all of us to take care of our shipmates.

Bravo Zulu

Shout out to retired Petty officer 3rd Class Krissy Esget who was the first woman in the Coast Guard to compete in the Invictus Games. The games raise awareness for wounded veterans.
