Coast Guard Museum needs you – Share your ideas!

The Coast Guard is the only branch of the armed services that does not have a national museum to celebrate its importance to the nation and to honor the men and women who serve. Since its inception in 1790, the Coast Guard has established a proud and illustrious history which we’re excited to share with the public.

The National Coast Guard Museum is currently under design for construction in New London, Connecticut. Coast Guard Government and Public Affairs wants to hear your ideas.

How might we best educate the public on our diverse history and ongoing missions? What programs and exhibits will draw in visitors and families from around the world? What ideas would raise revenue to be financially sustainable? How might we best create a 21st century museum that will remain current and relevant while honoring the service’s history?
