There are many places to learn about safe boating practices. From the local Coast Guard station to boating safety classes at your local marina. But there’s another place to turn for advice – your own home! Your family and friends may have some great advice for you, whether you are a paddleboarder, kayaker or sailor.
In honor of National Safe Boating Week 2013, we asked our virtual friends and family – our followers on Twitter – for boating safety advice. Share, retweet or favorite the advice below, or use #boatingadvice to share your own tips. We look forward to hearing how you stay safe on the water!
