Earlier today, Coast Guard headquarters personnel participated in Ready, Set, Inflate Рa joint effort by the National Safe Boating Council and the Canadian Safe Boating Council. The event was part of the kick-off for Safe Boating Week 2010 and an effort to set a world record for the number of inflatable life jackets activated simultaneously. No word yet on the world record but the event was a great opportunity to highlight the importance of life jackets as we head into the summer boating season.
