Coast Guard will implement a security zone on an approximate five-mile area at the intersection of Pittsburgh’s three rivers during the G-20 global economic summit beginning at 6 a.m. tomorrow until about 10 p.m. on Friday. Coast Guard Cutter Petrel interdicted a boat carrying 11 suspected illegal Mexican immigrants about five miles off the coast of California yesterday. The overloaded 20-foot boat was about a mile-and-a-half into U.S. waters when it was intercepted.
