Coast Guard Station Rockland responded to a helicopter that crashed in Penobscot Bay, Maine, yesterday. The four passengers were from a luxury yacht anchored in the area and were not seriously injured. Yes, the Coast Guard is up on the Great Lakes too. Yesterday, a helicopter from Air Station Traverse City and a small boat from Station Alpena worked together to airlift a crewman 26 nautical miles offshore in Lake Huron.
