Guardians rescued three men from their sinking fishing vessel approximately 60 miles into the Gulf of Mexico yesterday. A helicopter out of Air Station Clearwater, Fla. responding to the vessel’s EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) spotted the handheld flare the men were waving from 15-miles out and hoisted them to safety.
