  • Paul Martikainen, the man accused of kidnapping his son before Guardians boarded his vessel and rescued the boy, was indicted on kidnapping charges by a grand jury in Florida yesterday. Martikainen could face up to 3-years in prison.

  • Toledo firefighters joined Guardians from Station Toledo for ice rescue training exercises on Monday night. The media was invited to view the training as a reminder to people to exercise caution around icy waterways.

  • Aviators from Air Station Kodiak delivered a shipment of salmon to Kotzebue, Alaska on Monday. The humanitarian food drop to one of Alaska’s most remote and expensive places to live is expected to provide nearly 1,200 families with 35-pounds of salmon.
