The crew of San Francisco-based Coast Guard Cutter Aspen offloads approximately 8,500 pounds of marijuana at Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach July 26, 2012. The marijuana was seized from a vessel nearly 160 miles off the coast of California. The event marks a 50-ton milestone for waterborne marijuana seizures in Southern California and the Pacific Southwest border region this fiscal year.
