Never give up Luke, Never give up! so proud of you and what you’ve accomplished, and proud of our Guardsmen too!
I’m a former Navy submariner and diver but have my own small boat and know how important the guard is and how quickly the seas can turn against you – and how brave and honorable you are to have trained and worked with the Rescue Swimmers! Semper Paratus!
YOU and only YOU have to think positive everyday, and imagine that tumor getting smaller and smaller until you beat it!
Keep on swimming!

God Bless the USCG ! I admire their courage; and, as a long-time
salt water boater, feel safer on the water knowing they are there
to help in an emergency !

What a great story. In my book, you all are heroes. especially Luke, stay strong. Your name means, “keeper of the light”. You lit up alot of lives in the Coast Guard as well as people reading this. All light houses shine brighter today because of you courage. Thank you to all coasties who brought a young mans dream come true.

Thats such a great story. I was the same way even as a kid, I always wanted to join. I can only imagine how great that must have been for him. The best of luck to you Luke in following your dreams. I think myself along with everyone else in the Coast Guard could agree that you’re a very brave and respectable young man.
