Not a single boat or cutter for a sea going service, pretty bad.

Guest, while there were certainly several photos of cutters and boats entered into the People’s Choice contest, it was the people who chose the winners. Although not a direct image of a cutter, the third place photo surely represents the cutter fleet and the men and women who serve. On another note, last year’s contest was swept by cutters and boats. You can see that post here – .

Aviation is very much a significant part of the Coast Guard. Our aviation assests are something we should be equally proud of, there is a significantly deep history of Coast Guard aviation. Example, we trained all the helicopter pilots in World War II not only for the U.S. but also for other countries. It is all of the assets of the CG, from small boats to 378s and C-130s to HH-65s that make our service so great when we acknowledge how small our personnel head count is. Be proud of the service as a whole and how diverse a person’s career can be within the CG.
